The ADM Tiger softball team took on their first road contest last night as they traveled to Osceola to battle non conference foe Clarke. It may have taken the Lady Tigers 7 innings to do so, but they would indeed pull out the victory 5-3.

Similarly to the Carroll contest, ADM found themselves down 2-0 after Clarke put up two runs through the first two innings. Also similar to Wednesday’s contest, ADM would quickly claim the lead doing so last night with a 4 run fourth inning. Emma Jacobsen would initiate the scoring herself by by successfully stealing home for their first run. Lindsey Lange followed that up with her 2nd RBI of the season and then Kila Carbine would go a step further by blasting a two run home run to left field.

Clarke would plate their third and final run of the game in the 4th inning but ADM would match that in the sixth inning with Emma Jacobsen’s RBI ground out.

It took three game for Abbie Hlas to allow any runs, allowing three last night but only one of which was earned as the Lady Tigers suffered a three error night. Hlas was precise and efficient inside the circle with many Clarke hitters unable to get a clean hit off the freshmen as was evident with 13 ground ball outs out 19 total.

The Lady Tigers as a team ended the night with 5 runs off of 7 hits, 3 errors, and 8 runners left on base. They will now travel to Winterset this evening for their first tournament action of the season.
