An Albia man remains at-large following a high speed chase outside Casey Monday night.
According to the Guthrie County Sheriff’s office, deputies from Guthrie and Adair counties were receiving calls around 10 p.m. that 25 year-old Marcus Terrell was violating a no contact order at a residence west of Casey in Guthrie County. Deputies from both offices responded to the scene and encountered Terrell, who told them he was not going back to jail before leading them on a high speed chase in a pick-up truck. Terrell escaped and is believed to have left the area according to the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office.
Both Sheriff’s offices have applied for warrants. Terrell is charged with violation of a no contact order, along with misdemeanors for interfering with official acts, eluding law enforcement and driving under a barred license.
