The ADM Lady Tiger soccer team further solidified their conference crown last night tacking on their 6th conference victory this season and 31st consecutive conference win by defeating the Carlisle Lady Wildcats.
The Lady Tigers didn’t have their normal starting roster on the field but did show their great depth by prevailing in a shootout winning 4-2. It would take until 17 minutes left in the first half for the scoring to start but when it did, goals came in bunches. Carlisle would start the scoring in the 23rd minute to take the first lead of the contest but less than 8 minutes later ADM would equalize the contest at 1-1 thanks to a combined effort inside 5 feet from the goal.
Carlisle would answer right back in quicker fashion taking their second lead of the game just three minutes later. The Lady Tigers would one up that however as ADM took just two minutes to draw the game even again thanks to Izzy LaFollete’s first of two goals on the night. LaFollete’s second goal on the night came in the fastest time frame yet taking just one minute to connect on ADM’s third goal and the only lead they needed. ADM would take that 3-2 advantage into the intermission and would give themselves some breathing room in the second half when Emily Kay connected on her second goal of the season in the 70th minute of action.
ADM then played the waiting game with their 4-2 lead which is where it would rest at the end of the contest giving the Lady Tigers their 13th win on the season and a 13-2 overall record.
Next on the docket for the Lady Tigers will be their final regular season home contest against non conference foe Indianola beginning at 7:00 pm.
