Greene County was fourth among eight teams on Saturday at the 18-hole Perry boys’ high school golf invitational at the Perry Country Club. The finish was the best in several years for Coach Dave Destival’s Rams.

The Block brothers led the Rams with Elijah shooting nine hole rounds of 39 and 40 for 79, and Jadon going 43-38 for 81. Both finished the top 10 with Elijah tying for the fifth best score on the day and Jadon finishing in a tie for seventh place.

Rounding out the scoring for the Rams were Isaiah Yoder at 47-42=89, and Chase Juergensen 52-49=101.

Gilbert won the team title at 310 for 18 holes. ADM was second at 330, followed by Norwalk 332, Greene County 350, Perry 356, Woodward-Granger 361, Pella Christian 369, and Carlisle 396. The tournament was played under sunny skies with light winds and comfortable temperatures.
