IMG_6559The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday. Erick Van Cura with Guthrie Center Municipal Utilities discussed public awareness for natural gas and asked the supervisors to fill out a survey. The discussion fulfilled a yearly state requirement. The board also approved a resolution for amended appropriations for fiscal year 2016-2017. The resolution allocates more money to County Conservation projects that did not carry over expected funding.

The supervisors also discussed a Guthrie County substance abuse prevention services agreement and designated Auditor Marci McClellan to sign for the funds and make sure they are allocated appropriately. At the close of the meeting, Sheriff Marty Arganbright was appointed to the South Central Iowa Regional E911 Board to take the place of the late Steve Patterson.
