Greene Co 2018 5-Yr Construction PlanGreene County Secondary Roads Department has scheduled three projects for the summer.

One project that is already underway is replacing the Hyde Park bridge. The structure is on county road N-65 and the contractor is Godbersen-Smith Construction Company. The project started in January. The same company is also slated to replace the overpass bridge near Grand Junction later this month.

Another project is pavement patching on county road N-65 from about 210th Street north to the county line. The contractor is Midwest Contractors Inc from Cedar Falls.

The final project is replacing another bridge on county road E-57. County Engineer Wade Weiss says the bridge was pushed up on the secondary roads five-year road construction plan, due to an accident involving a Pepsi truck that crashed through part of the structure and went into the creek in late November.

All three projects totaled over $3.9 million, and are apart of the five-year road construction plan that the County Board of Supervisors approved at their meeting on Monday.
