President Donald Trump’s new mandate about keeping illegal individuals out of America also involves cities and counties losing federal funding that are deemed as sanctuaries.

Greene County Sheriff Jack Williams says Greene County is not a sanctuary county. He adds that if they stop someone on a traffic stop and the individual doesn’t have identification and speaks another language, they will contact the Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency. He adds that if they have the room in the county jail, they will hold those individuals for ICE.

Williams notes that they aren’t actively looking for illegal individuals and ICE is really only concerned with those who have severe criminal histories.
