The Adel Partners Chamber of Commerce invites all Adel residents to attend specialized meetings today.
The City of Adel is hosting a series of meetings through the Iowa’s Living Roadways Community Visioning Program. It helps volunteers create aesthetic and ecological improvements along roadsides and landscapes by combining environmental stewardship with community improvement projects. The Adel Visioning Committee learned about public involvement and ways that they could assess resources and identify the needs of the community.
The next step for the committee is hosting focus group meetings to allow residents to share their ideas about transportation needs and opportunities for the City. The meetings are at First Christian Church in Adel. There are five meetings including one for older adults at 9am, parents and children at 10, mobility impaired individuals are at 11, active recreation people will be at 1pm and a full report of the results is scheduled for 4pm.
Adel is one of ten communities selected for the program.
