With South Hamilton’s loss in the State Boys’ Basketball Tournament earlier this week, all Heart of Iowa Activities Conference programs have completed their seasons, and All-Conference selections can be announced. Greene County landed senior Trey Tucker and sophomore Trey Hinote on the first team, junior Wade Adcock on the second team, and senior Calvin Skalla and sophomore Lance Hughes on the Honorable Mention list.

Tucker is a rare four-time first team HOIAC selection. He is the all-time leading scorer for a Jefferson-based boys’ basketball program at 1,811 points. He scored 538 points this season for an average of 24.5 per game. He made 52.5% of shots from the field including 44.1% from three-point range and was a 70% free throw shooter. Tucker also led the team in rebounds, assists, and steals.

Hinote averaged 15.2 points per game and made 77.8% of his free throw attempts, best among Ram regulars. The sophomore was a 44.4% shooter overall and 43.6% on three-pointers.

Adcock scored 11.5 points per game with a team best 67.3% field goal percentage. He was just behind Tucker in rebounds.

Skalla scored 1.7 points per game and was well known as a defender and passer.

Hughes averaged 6.5 points per game and shot 43.2% from the floor including 49% from two-point range.

The Rams were 14-8 overall and 13-3 in the HOIAC, good for second place, under first year head coach Chris Nelson.
