With the defeat of Van Meter in the Iowa high school boys state basketball tournament yesterday, there are no more WCAC teams left in contention and therefore allows the release of the All-Conference Honors.
Head coach Nick Peasley and the rest of the Wildcat boys squad witness two honorable mention honors bestowed upon their very own Rylan Heffernan and Logan Pruitt.
Logan Pruitt was a solid force inside the conference averaging a solid 11.6 points per game ranking him 9th in the entire West Central Activities Conference. To go along with a team high 104 field goals made, Pruitt made himself known off the glass hauling in a team best 125 rebounds. The senior ends his tenure with the Wildcats with 418 total points, averaging out to but just over 8 points per game for his career average.
The second name on the Wildcats honorable mention docket belonged to Rylan Heffernan. The junior missed a handful of games this season but still managed to post up a team high 12.5 points per game and 62 made free throws.
The Wildcats will be saying goodbye to a total of five seniors including Meet Patel, Cody Hansen, Josh Reed, Knick Badker, and Logan Pruitt.
