Last night the ADM girls track team burst on to the competitive scene for the first time in 2017 participating in the Girls A D Dickinson Relays in Cedar Falls.
Keaton Kester paced ADM on the night picking up a top five finish in both the 60 meter dash and the 200 meter dash. She placed 4th in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.96 seconds while one upping that performance in the 200 meter dash walking away with a 3rd place finish earning a time of 26.38 seconds. Fellow teammates Anna Kenney and Jordan Hook came away with top fifty finishes in the 200 as Kenny placed 32nd with a time of 28.56 seconds and Hook’s time of 28.95 seconds placed her 47th out of 197 runners.
The Lady Tigers had two top 100 finishers in the 400 meter dash finals including Anna Kenney earning a 20th place finish with a time of 1:04.75 along with Elle Hook earning 96th place with a time of 1:10.24.
Cross country standout Sadie Juergens started off her sophomore track campaign with an 11th place finish in the 800 meter run notching a finishing time of 2:29.70. Ellise Mueller was also involved in the 800 meter run taking home a 64th place finish with a time of 2:48.13.
ADM’s 4 x 200 meter relay team had a very strong showing as well walking away with a 7th place finish out of out of 71 teams with their time of 1:51.82. The 4 x 400 meter relay team for the Lady Tigers ended with a solid 15th place finish out of 53 entries notching a time of 4:26.38 while the 4 x 800 meter relay team took home a 20th place finish with a time of 10:40.10 to round out the scoring.
The next road trip for the Lady Tigers will be a much shorter one when they travel to Ames for the annual meet on the campus of Iowa State University on Monday. That meet is set to begin at 10:00 am.
