A Bouton man will be sentenced later this month for an April incident.
According to court documents, 38 year-old Jerimy Joseph Godwin pled guilty to a Class D Felony for forgery.
The charge stems from an investigation that began on April 4th. Sparky’s One Stop in Jefferson reported three $50 counterfeit bills that were used by Godwin. Police reviewed surveillance video of where Sparky’s staff made a deposit to their bank and were able to identify Godwin.
He was sentenced to two years of probation for a similar charge in Polk County.
Godwin’s sentence hearing on the Greene County charge is scheduled for March 24th.
