Scammers continue to target Guthrie County residents.
Panora Police Chief Matt Reising tells Raccoon Valley Radio News senior citizens are frequently the target of phone scams and need to be aware of the dangers in order to avoid losses. Reising will present a program entitled “Scams Directed Towards Senior Citizens” on Thursday February 23 at Lakeside Village in Panora. He says the most important thing a potential victim can do is avoid giving out any personal information.
The program begins at 4:30 with a social hour and will be followed by a picnic supper and Reising’s presentation, which will include a question and answer portion. To RSVP for the event call 641-755-3443.
