The public is invited to the second ag coffee of 2017 from Greene County Iowa State University Extension.
Director Lori Mannel says the topic is “Securing Your Farm Property and Reducing Your Risk of Theft and Vandalism”. It will involve a panel discussion with Extension Ag Engineer Field Specialist Shawn Shouse, Greene County Sheriff Jack Williams and Bob Smith with TechZone. Mannel points out that the topic continues to be relevant in the County.
“We did this (same topic) last fall and it was very, very well received. Unfortunately we are seeing more incidents of theft on especially vacant properties or unfortunately sometimes even when you live at the homestead that you’re seeing some theft and vandalism going on.”
The informal meeting takes place at 9:30am this Friday at the Extension office in Jefferson. It is free and no pre-registration is necessary.
February’s ag coffee is sponsored by MacDonald Insurance and Kingsgate Insurance.
