A public ceremony will be held tomorrow to honor loved ones at Greene County Medical Center.
Auxiliary Liaison Hollie Roberts says their ceremony for the Tree of Life will be in the cafeteria at 4pm on Wednesday. Donations have been collected since around Thanksgiving time and those that donated got a decorated ornament on a Christmas tree in the main entrance of the medical center in honor or in memory of a loved one. Roberts describes the details of Wednesday’s event.
“We’ll have a speaker that will just talk about the joy of the holidays and remembering those that we love. And then we will give the ornaments to the donors. I’m really excited because our speaker this year is Devon Walters, who is the new minister at the Baptist Church (of Jefferson).”
The public is invited to the free event. No pre-registration is necessary.
