The Let’s Connect project is now $7,500 closer to their fundraising goal.
Hotel Pattee owners Jay and Denise Hartz presented Dallas County Conservation Board Director Mike Wallace with a check recently. Earlier this year the couple ran a GoFundMe promotion where those who donated toward the project could receive incentives such as gift certificates, overnight stays and VIP packages.
Wallace says “Jay and Denise have been great supporters of this trail project and of other projects that the Dallas County Conservation Board is involved in. We really appreciate the donation as it will help leverage other funds that are being raised for the trail.”
In total the project, which would connect the Raccoon River Valley Trail in Perry to the High Trestle Trail in Woodward, is estimated to cost $5 million.
