family-feud-pic-1Over 100 people attended the first-ever fun-raiser event for Jefferson Matters: Main Street’s Family Feud on Saturday night.

The game show included two games with two teams competing for separate trophies. The winning teams included Mom Jeans 4 Life with Bonnie Silbaugh, Erin Daniel, Laura Smith, Diana Smith and Nikki Uebel and Bunkers Dunkers with Randy, Phyllis and Evan Bunkers, Ellen Bunkers Ritters and Michael Dowd. The game show was hosted by Doug Rieder and Event Coordinator Carla Offenburger praised him for his help.

“Doug Rieder deserves a trophy of his own for what he had to put up with tonight with those teams and the little glitches we had. But he is good on his feet and we picked the right emcee for our event. And we hope he’ll come back next year too.”

One of the questions “who is the loudest person in Jefferson?” The number one answer, out of 100 people surveyed, said Sam Harding. The night also included commercial breaks provided by Jefferson Telecom, RVP~1875 and History Boy Theatre Company, Raccoon Valley Radio and Greene County Medical Center.

Offenburger thought the inaugural event was a success.

“We called it a fun-raiser and I think we raised a lot of fun tonight and the crowd was into the games, the teams were fabulous and we had people asking to be a team next year, so we’ll probably do it again. I just think it was a great first time event and I’m so glad we called it a fun-raiser because we had a lot of fun.”

All proceeds went to JMMS for future projects.

The other teams and who was on them are listed below.

Righteous Sisters: Gina Harrington, Marianne Carlson, Denise Harberts, Teresa Shahan and Linda Hall.

Greene County Schools Cardigan Crew: Amy McGinn, Kathy Dobney, Jill Lamoureux, Wendy VanderLinden and Lisa Wilkins.
