vote_earlyThe Dallas County Auditor’s office has been “slammed” with absentee ballot requests since they were made available last month.

Deputy Auditor Kim Owen tells Raccoon Valley Radio that at the end of last week they had already received more than 15,700 requests and are averaging over 150 in person at their office alone.

So far, Owen says the County is at an over 70 percent return rate.

Anyone wanting to request an absentee ballot has until Friday to do so.  The Auditor’s office will also be open special hours on Saturday fro 8am-5pm for absentee voting purposes.
