Despite some rain overnight the other day, this month continues to be a relatively dry one here in the Raccoon River Valley.
According to the National Weather Service, Guthrie Center received 0.22 inch of rain this week while Perry saw 0.39 inch. This brings the monthly totals to 1 and 1.1 inches respectively.
Normally, the area sees around 2.25 inches of rain during the month of October. There’s no strong chance of rain in the immediate forecast.
