After playing four of its first six games on the road the Greene County High School football team is home for the next two weeks. Coach Dean Lansman’s Rams are 0-6  overall and 0-4 in Class 3A District 2 following Friday’s 35-8 loss in Boone against the first place Toreadors’ in Boone’s Homecoming game.

The Rams have played their two closest games of the season at Linduska Field; a week three 18-12 loss to Dallas Center-Grimes, and a week five loss to Iowa Falls-Alden by a 28-13 score. The defense has done much better at home than away as it has allowed 16 points a game in the two home games compared to 40 points per game in the four road contests.

The Rams host Gilbert (5-1, 3-1) on Oct. 7, then plays the final home game of the season on Oct. 14 by hosting Perry (2-4, 0-4) in the annual battle of the Cowbell. Gilbert won at Perry on Friday night 38-14. The season closes with a trip to Huxley to face the Ballard Bombers.
