The Iowa Department of Natural Resources says in the northern parts of our listening area, some light coloring is beginning to take place on hard maple, ash and cottonwood trees.

 

In the more southern portions of our listening area, sumac plants have begun to turn red.
Peak viewing for fall colors throughout our listening area is estimated to be October 15-22nd.
