Greene County Medical Center is once again hosting a community walk on Wednesday as part of Iowa’s Healthiest State Walk.

Those interested in joining the effort are asked to meet by the Greene County Community Center shortly before noon, with the walk to start right at noon. The route will be from the community center, around the downtown square in Jefferson and end back the community center. A grilled lunch with a side and beverages will be served for a small fee, with donations by Jefferson Fareway, the medical center and Jefferson Hy-Vee.

Those who cannot join the community walk are encouraged to walk for 30 minutes on Wednesday in support of the initiative.
