greene county medical center logoGreene County Public Health is continuing to hold community flu shot clinics tomorrow.

Greene County Medical Center Immunization Coordinator Jill Juergensen says everyone should get a flu vaccination every year.

“Annually, the only thing that needs to be updated is your flu vaccine. And the flu vaccine is recommended for children age six months of age and up unless they have a contragate indication to the vaccine. A contragate indication could be an allergy to a vaccine component or just a previous severe reaction to the flu vaccine.”

To get the full protection of the flu vaccine, Juergensen recommends getting the flu shot by the end of October.

They will be at St. Brigid’s Parish Center in Grand Junction on Friday from 9:30 to 11:30am and at the Rippey Library from 1 to 3pm. Earlier in the week, they were at the Scranton Methodist Church on Monday.
