The Perry football team will look to snap a 2 game losing skid tonight when they travel to Dallas Center Grimes for a 7:30 kickoff with the 3-1 Mustangs.  Perry currently sits 0-2 in district play after opening the season 2-0.  The Bluejays will try to rebound from their worst performance of the season last Friday night when Boone shut them out 41-0.

“We really returned to the basics this week,” added Linebacker Coach Shannon Cline.  “We weren’t very good with our pad level last week and the result was not pretty.  We were driven off the ball constantly.  That can change but we need to do a better job with leverage and making sure our pads our lower than theirs.”

The Perry offense will look to get a jump start as well after struggling the last 2 weeks.  Alexis Garrido has been taking some reps at quarterback this week to try and give Adan Medina a breather once in a while.

“Adan has played well but we thought it would be good to have a number two guy just in case.  Garrido has earned this shot and he is trying to get ready as fast as he can should his number get called.”

You can listen to Perry and DCG tonight at 6:30 on KDLS and raccoonvalleyradio.com.
