An early deadline for a program which assists low-income Iowa households with winter utility bills is rapidly approaching.

Applications to sign up for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) for homes with elderly or disabled individuals will be accepted beginning October 1st. The enrollment window opens for other households on November 1st.
