It’s been no secret that the ADM Lady Tiger volleyball team has had great offensive success this season displayed not only in the Raccoon River Conference, in the the class 4A volleyball rankings as well.
But as the ADM volleyball team welcomes in Carlisle for a conference match up, they will also be weilding a top notch defense as well. As a team the Lady Tigers have accumulated 522 digs while coming in at third in the conference in total blocks with 103 and blocks per set at 2.45.
It’s a solid defense for ADM volleyball that has fully adopted coach Mary Beth Scott’s give it your all mentality. Coach Scott spoke with Raccoon Valley Radio about despite any shortages of any kind, they are still a formidable defense.
“You know we can definitely put up a pretty decent block. We’re not a huge team by any means but we have a bunch of people who really do a nice job and focus on that. And then we have some nice back row defensive players. We’ve been working hard about letting our players know that you’ve got to go to the floor for it; you don’t know what you can get unless you try and that’s really been our moto in making sure that the girls are all in and ready to go,” explained coach Scott.
The ADM defense will be on full display tonight as they welcome in Carlisle to ADM high school for a 7:00 match up.
