This year has been a consistent one for camping at Guthrie County’s campgrounds.

Guthrie County Conservation Director Joe Hanner says camping was “pretty decent” over Labor Day weekend at Nations Bridge and Lenon Mill parks. He adds it’s been a year of good activity on the Raccoon River Valley Trail, though exact rider numbers are hard to calculate because most users have an annual pass.
Hanner says barring any unforeseen events the remainder of the fall or next spring, camping revenues in the 2016/17 fiscal year should be consistent with those in recent years.
