At the meeting, the Board approved payroll change notices for the sheriff’s office, emergency medical services and facilities department as presented.

Dana Wernimont with Design Alliance then reported that progress continues to be made on the 902 Court Street building construction project.  The emergency management project at the north campus also continues to move forward.  Wernimont said there are a few doors that have not been set yet but the contractual substantial progress end date is September 22nd.  Furniture is also being moved in this week.  Information Technology Director Todd Noah says he plans to bring media equipment bids to the Board for review next week.

The Board then approved the authorization of a grant agreement with the Department of Transportation for purchase of a spray truck and chainsaw for the roads department.  The County received a $10,000 grant from the DOT’s Living Roadway Trust Fund for the truck upgrade.  The Stihl MS chainsaw comes at a cost of $960.

A public hearing in regards to the final plat of Russell’s Ridge was then held.  The land, a 48 acre parcel in Union Township, includes lots that are zoned agricultural or agricultural/floodplain/conservation district and at least 10 acres each.  Following the hearing the Board approved the resolution as presented.
