Construction of the Hamlin-Bell housing development continues to move forward and in addition to walls being erected, the City is also making sure utilities are set in place.

“There’s a section of 10th Street in the Otley area that has never been sewered, primarily where the old middle school was.  That water used to run down the street and flow for several blocks before it would get into the sewers.  With the development in that area we thought it would be beneficial to take a look at that, see where that water was going and try to get it off the pavement and start getting it into our sewer.”

That’s City Engineer Matt Ferrier with Bolton and Menk.

Perry’s City Council accepted a bid from JRS Excavating in the amount of $42,300 for the project.
