Funeral services for John Raymond Rhoten, 79, of Linden, will be Thursday at 10 am at the Panther Creek Church of the Brethren near Adel.  Burial will be in the West Linn Cemetery near Linden.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Twigg Funeral Home in Panora.  Survivors include:  Wife,, Kathryn.  Children, John E. Rhoten of Linden, Julie A. Nelson of Overland Park, Kansas, Joan R. Bond of Earlham and Jay Rhoten of Pella.  Step son John V. Kizilarmut of Kansas City, Missouri.  14 grandchildren.  sister, Janice DePue of Adel and brother, James Rhoten of Adel.
