A Rippey man will not serve any jail or probation time for a June incident.

According to court documents, 37 year-old William Russell Griffin pled guilty to a simple misdemeanor for assault and was ordered to pay over $650 in fines, surcharges and court costs.

The charge stems from an incident from June 20th when a report of a domestic abuse incident happened in Rippey. The victim told authorities that she was pulled off of a bed and Griffin put his foot on her chest. He allegedly paid a friend to not show up in court on the matter.

He was originally charged with felonies for solicitation to commit a felony and domestic abuse assault with intent to inflict injury.
