The Dallas County Conservation Board and Iowa State University Extension and Outreach are coming together to host another event that will teach families how to eat well in a rush.
The Healthy Meals in a Hurry program will take place at the Forest Park Museum on Sunday, September 18th.
“That’s part of our (series with) Mary Krisco, our ISU Nutritionist, a great lady who does great programs. She’ll be talking about how you can still eat healthy, even when you’re in a rush. Go shopping once a week and then make stuff at home for your family.”
That’s Museum Curator Pete Malmberg.
The cost to take part in the program is $3 per person, which includes a recipe and preparation guide, along with supplies to make a few things to help save time at home.
Pre-registration is required, as the program will be cancelled if not enough people sign up by September 14th.
