Candidates for Greene County elected and non-partisan offices have been announced for the November general election.
The Greene County Auditor’s office says there are contested races for each of the three Supervisor seats. Candidates for Supervisor District One include Republican incumbent Mick Burkett and Democrat Alan Robinson. Those running for Supervisor District Four are Democrat Todd Madson and Republican incumbent John Muir. Winner from the Republican primary Peter Bardole is running for Supervisor District Five seat against incumbent Guy Richardson who is running with no party affiliation.
The other county offices including auditor and sheriff are unopposed with Republican incumbent for auditor Jane Heun and Republican candidate for sheriff Jack Williams.
The other contested race is for Jefferson City Council Ward Two. The three candidates are Matt Wetrich, Dan Benitz and Kirk Hammer. The special election is to fill a vacancy due to the resignation of Lisa Jaskey.
Other non-partisan offices include the township trustees, Extension Council, the Greene County Medical Center Board of Trustees and the County Soil and Water Commission. A full list of all the candidates can be found by clicking the link below.
