A deputy assisted a Jefferson Police Officer with a call in the 900 block of West State Street in Jefferson.

A deputy was dispatched to remove a deer carcass from the roadway on Highway 30 west of Scranton.

A deputy was advised of the theft of fishing equipment from a parked vehicle near the Squirrel Hollow boat ramp. A description of the suspected vehicle and driver were provided to the deputy.

A deputy spoke with a resident in the 700 block of Grant Street in Scranton about a personal property civil issue.

A deputy was dispatched to the 900 block of Main Street East in Grand Junction to check the welfare of a female resident. She was found to be safe.

A deputy was advised by a Grand Junction resident of a possible theft of personal property.

A deputy was dispatched to the 1500 block of 170th Street to investigate the report of a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle was located and the driver was identified.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office, Churdan Fire and an Iowa State Patrol Officer searched for a runaway 14 year old youth that walked away from his home in Churdan. The search was discontinued after several hours of searching the town.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, an all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
