Anyone interested in helping to promote downtown Jefferson through the Raccoon River Valley Trail is invited to tonight’s meeting.
Jefferson Matters: Main Street is partnering together with the Greene County Chamber and Cyclists of Greene to bring bicyclists up to Jefferson from the bike trail. JMMS Program Director Peg Raney describes the projects that they are working on.
“A sign down at Herndon to point the way to Jefferson. Also signage at the Jefferson Depot to direct people on where to go. We’re looking at Pedal Jefferson signage that is similar to what they have in the Pedal Perry businesses that encourage people to come into the businesses to shop.”
Tonight’s meeting will take place at Homestead Coffee and Bakery at 5:30pm. The meeting is free and open to the public.
