weatherA flash flood warning continues until 9am this morning for the entire Raccoon Valley Radio listening area.

The worst of the overnight storms that brought heavy rainfall to southern Iowa missed Dallas, Greene and Guthrie counties.

According to the latest totals available from the National Weather Service, Perry received 0.6 inch of rain so far today, while a trace was recorded in Guthrie Center and totals from Jefferson are not immediately available.

There is a 50 percent chance of additional showers and thunderstorms this evening with new rainfall amounts between a quarter and a half an inch forecasted.
