We are coming up on the final days of the Greene County Fair.
Sunday includes several activities like the livestock judging contest in the showring at at noon, followed by the round robin showmanship contest at 1:30pm and the tug of war contest at 3pm, both in the showring. Monster arm wrestling will be in the bus barn at 3pm. The day finishes up with the grandstand entertainment at 7pm with the Grand River Rodeo. Greene County Fair Board President Bob Allen says the rodeo is a great way to wind down the fair.
“The last few years, we’ve had the Grand River Rodeo come to town and they put on a really good show and we’ve basically filled out capacity of our grandstand, we hope and plan to do that again this year. It’s just real good family fun event to have the rodeo come to town.”
Don’t forget about Poppin’ Penelope and Matt’s Family Jam going on throughout the day on the fairgrounds. Monday will be the ag appreciation breakfast sponsored by the Fair Board at 8am featuring Chris Cakes, the pancake man. The fair wraps up with the junior premium auction at 8:30am on Monday.
We will also continue to provide live coverage of the fair with our Big Red Radio for the entire weekend.
