Figuring out what to do for your Saturday? There’s lots going on at the Greene County Fair in Jefferson.
The 4-H and FFA beef show begins the day at 8am in the showring, which will be followed by the bucket calf and the Cattle Kids shows. The baby contest will be in Clover Hall starting at 9:30am with registrations at 9am. Both the historical society and commercial exhibit buildings open at 10am.
Following the kid’s pedal pull at noon will be the communication presentations and the Share the Fun contest at 1pm in Clover Hall. The 4-H and FFA horse fun show is at 2pm in the showring, followed by the Greene County Extension watermelon eating contest in Clover Hall at 3pm. There will also be the pork and lamb barbecue meal in the bus barn at 5:30pm, followed by the grandstand entertainment at 7pm by the Lucas Oil Tractor and Truck Pull.
