The Stuart Public Library is one of the most popular local hangouts for youth.
Library employees Gaby Doud and Holly Partlow say they were confused this week when they noticed many of their children patrons, and some adults, walking around staring at their phones.
They tell Raccoon Valley Radio it was only recently that they discovered everyone was playing a popular new cell phone game, Pokemon Go, and now the library wants to get involved. “I think it’s a pretty cool game, we might look into it. If we see more interest, or if kids want to approach us and maybe start a group themselves.”
Additionally, Lawbaugh Park behind K107’s studios in Stuart is a Pokemon Go gym.
Pokemon Go is available for free in both the iTunes and Android app stores.
