The Greene County Town and Country Band will be performing tomorrow in Boone.
The community band is part of a full day of concerts from several groups for the 25th anniversary of the Iowa Municipal Band Festival. Member Tori Riley says they will be performing at 11am Saturday at the Herman Park Pavilion in Boone. Following the Town and Country Band will be several other community bands including Karl L. King Municipal Band from Fort Dodge, the Iowa Military Veterans Band and the Boone Municipal Band.
The festival for the participating bands is by invitation only.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and food will be available for purchase. A list of the performing bands and when they play can be found below.
Upcoming performances for the Town and Country Band include Friday, July 15th at the Greene County Fair and August 13th in Rippey in front of the library. Anyone interested in joining the band, can meet in the Churdan band room on Mondays at 7pm. Contact Riley at 386-3087 for more information.
