Two former Jefferson residents were arrested by police Monday morning following a fight.
Police Chief Mark Clouse says officers responded to an alleged domestic abuse incident shortly before 8am in the 400 block of North West Street. Witnesses told police that a couple pulled into the driveway of a residence and were engaged in a verbal argument. It escalated to a physical fight between the two. During the fight, the female allegedly pulled a knife on the male in a threatening manner.
Following the investigation, officers arrested both subjects. Forty-four year-old George Joseph Glasgow of Hutchinson, Kansas is charged with a Class D Felony for his third or subsequent offense for domestic abuse assault and thirty-four year-old Freedom Hope Ore also of Hutchinson, Kansas, is charged with an aggravated misdemeanor for domestic abuse assault and display or use of a dangerous weapon. Clouse adds that Ore has a couple of pending domestic abuse assault charges in Kansas as well.
Ore was booked and released from the Greene County Jail and Glasgow remains in jail under a $5,000 cash or surety bond.
