The Dallas County Secondary Roads Administration is taking advantage of the summer season to complete several projects.

Engineer Al Miller tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the main objective at the moment is doing pavement rehabilitation on County Road F90 or 336th Street south of Adel near DeSoto. He details that Grimes Asphalt and Paving Corporation is the contractor on the project as Miller acknowledges work has been stalled a few times with the weather, and appreciates the residents’ patience.

“I would like to extend a thank you for all the folks that live down in that area. I know that road takes a lot of truck traffic and to divert that traffic around for the length of our project, is something that we’d like to minimize. The sooner we can get done with that project, the better, I think, for everybody.”

Miller is anticipating having the paving completed for that area in mid to late July. He adds that following that project, the Secondary Roads Department will immediately jump into doing their next paving phase on County Road P48 south of Dexter. Miller explains that the road is shared between Dallas, Guthrie, Adair, and Madison counties as Manatt’s Incorporated will be in charge of doing concrete paving that is set to begin within the first two weeks in July.
