
With warmer weather and summer moving in, the public pools around Guthrie County are preparing to open.
According to Guthrie Center city officials, the Guthrie Center Aquatic Complex opened May 23rd, but with early morning cool temperatures, hasn’t been able to hold many morning swim sessions yet. Regular hours for the pool are from 1-4:45pm and 6-7:45pm, with morning swim from 6-7am when the pool is warm enough.
Stuart Aquatic Center Director Chelle Young says that the pool is set to open tomorrow. The hours that the pool is open for the season are noon to 5pm and 6-8pm Monday through Friday, and noon to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday. Daily admission for the pool is $5, with children three years old and younger able to get in for free. Individuals who are senior citizens that are 65 and older can pay $4 for a daily fee.
