The Panora Public Library is ready for June to get started.
Library Director Molly Alan says that they have many fun things planned for their patrons, both big and small. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio about what may be the most important and popular activity coming up for youths.
“Our biggest program for the month of June will be our Summer Reading Program. The theme is ‘Level Up at Your Library.’ So we will have programs every Friday in June. The first one, in kind of our summer reading kickoff, will be Friday, June 6. It’s a ‘Zoo to You’ program with Blank Park Zoo. So they will be coming with a couple of animal ambassadors to do a program that goes along with the ‘Level Up at Your Library’ theme.”
Alan mentions that the Summer Reading Program classes will be at 10am on Fridays, and that there are other fun events for children. She adds that these include a Learn to Draw webinar with Hope Larson at 1pm on June 11th, an All Iowa Reads kids virtual visit with author Christina Wyman at 1pm on June 18th, and an All Iowa Reads teen virtual visit with author Byron Graves on June 25th at 3pm.
