A non-profit organization in Jefferson recently made a donation to another worthy non-profit organization.

The Jefferson Kiwanis Club made a $500 donation to the Greene County 4-H program. According to the Kiwanis Club, this contribution has become a regular budgeted item, due to the 4-H program’s importance of providing activities to children in the community. The local Kiwanis group say the International Kiwanis motto is “Serving the children of the world” and here locally, they strive to support the growth and activities for the youth in Greene County. 

The donations like the one to the local 4-H program and others are made possible through annual fundraisers such as the pancake breakfast in the fall, the chicken dinner in the spring and the can collection bin next to Ace Hardware.
