Counties in the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area are seeing the same drought conditions as last week.

According to the US Drought Monitor, Dallas County is mainly seeing no drought conditions, with a small area of abnormally dry conditions in the very southeast corner, while all of Greene County, and the eastern half of Guthrie County are not facing any drought conditions. The western half of Guthrie County is abnormally dry. According to the National Weather Service, through the first eight days of May, Guthrie Center has recorded 0.36 inches of rain, Perry has reported 0.11 inches of rainfall, and Jefferson has seen 0.06 inches of rain.
