The Dallas County Conservation Board is gearing up for a program revolving around all the moms in the world.

The conservation is hosting a Mother’s Day Hike at Hanging Rock Park, 416 Redfield Street, in Redfield tomorrow. Outreach Coordinator Jeni Baker explains that people will meet at the top of the park by the shelterhouse, before venturing out with a naturalist on a path towards the Raccoon River. 

She says that this will give participants a good opportunity to learn about the female animals that occupy this portion of the park and their habits during the spring season. Baker details that the hike is an easy paved path and is open to anyone of any age for free. The hike does not require registration and will be happening in the morning from 9-10am.
