This weekend there will be a corn hole tournament fundraiser in Greenfield for a non profit organization.
Canine Miracles for Heroes Co-Founder and Chief Envisioning Officer Laura Ward says that they are holding their 3rd Annual Corn Hole for Heroes Fundraiser at the Adair County Fairgrounds. She mentions that their organization trains service dogs for veterans and emergency personnel suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), while also raising awareness for them. Ward explains that check-in for the event begins at 10am, with the tournament itself to start at 11am. She adds that there will be a free will donation lunch starting at noon, with an auction to start at 1pm.
Ward shares that there will be games and fun for all ages throughout the event besides the tournament. Some of the auction items include some handmade corn hole boards with a drink holder and scoreboard, along with a certificate for a one night stay at the Des Moines Marriott, tickets to the Henry Doorly Zoo, a gourmet gift basket and much more. Ward says that the proceeds from the event go back to Canine Miracle for Heroes to help train service dogs for those who need them. Those interested in participating can register at the Canine Miracles for Heroes website, with the team fee set at $40 for a two man team.
