Raccoon Valley Radio was able to bring home some awards from the annual Iowa Broadcast News Association (IBNA) Awards Night on Saturday.

Raccoon Valley Radio earned third place in Small Market Radio for Spot News and the coverage of the Perry High School shooting, along with another third place for Small Market Radio for Best Sportscast. Guthrie County News Director Marcus Mackey also won third place for the Disaster Coverage category for Small Market Radio with his coverage of the tornadoes in Greenfield. 

IBNA holds its annual conference with work sessions throughout the day that broadcasters from around the state are able to attend to brush up on and learn new news skills. The IBNA convention takes place once a year, and recognizes work done by news personnel throughout the state over the previous year.
