The Raccoon Valley Radio listening area is going to experience severe weather tomorrow.

The National Weather Service says Greene, Dallas and Guthrie Counties are at a moderate risk for severe weather, which is a category four out of five. According to the National Weather Service, all modes of severe weather, including strong winds, large hail and tornadoes are possible, as there is an over 30 percent chance of at least one inch diameter hail and close to 30 percent chance of tornadoes in the area. The timing is between 1pm to midnight on Monday.

Raccoon Valley Radio’s Severe Weather Action Team provides live coverage anytime there is a severe thunderstorm or tornado warning for Greene, Dallas, and Guthrie Counties. During the Severe Weather Action Team coverage, metrologists, law enforcement, emergency management coordinators, and others make reports to keep everyone in those counties as safe as possible from severe weather. Coverage of those storms continues until they move out of the listening area or drop below severe levels.
